Breaking Boundaries and Leaving a Mark - Mercury Article
She prepares meticulously for every endeavor, stays unwaveringly true to herself and stiff-arms all doubters. She doesn’t lie, cheat or steal and seems incapable of beating around a bush. She answers all questions – like it or not – with brutal honesty.
Betting On Herself - Trade Only Article
At the 2021 Palm Beach International Boat Show, Amanda Latham had dinner with Intrepid Powerboats owner Ken Clinton. She had incorporated her company, Man O' War Marine, in 2020, and Clinton encouraged her to apply for a Mercury outboard dealership. Within 28 days, she had her Mercury dealer number.
Today, Amanda Latham, 34, has her own business dubbed Man O’ War Marine, in which she specializes in the warranty, service and repair of Seven Marine outboards and other engine-and- drive packages domestically and internationally. Before branching out on her own in April 2020 in the midst of a global pandemic, she worked as a service manager and rigging specialist for the Germantown, Wis.-based Seven Marine, which was sold to Volvo Penta a few years ago.

Before their late-January arrival in Fond du Lac, Wis., for Mercury Racing’s “Water Street Confidential” video series, Adrian Barrett and Amanda Latham had never met. They live and work a little more than 2,400 miles from one another—Barrett in Lake Havasu City, Ariz., the home of Barrett Custom Marine, and Latham in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., where she owns and operates Man O’ War Marine. Each has a distinctly different marketplace and clientele.
